Today we are releasing probably the coolest thing we’ve ever made. Besides this newsletter.

This is something many of you have asked about, and something we’ve wanted to make since day one. And it’s finally here!

Quick question… how many times have you found out about a tournament, an outing, or a league night a week too late? After it sold out. After the deadline. After your buddies already signed up without you.

That ends today.

We just built the NCC Golf Events Calendar. Every tournament, outing, league, clinic, and event across New Castle County and beyond, in one place, kept current. No more digging through ten different course websites, Facebook pages, and clubhouse bulletin boards hoping you don't miss something. It's all right here.

And it's part of something bigger!

The calendar lives inside the NCC Clubhouse, a new online community for local golfers that's open right now. Alongside the events, you get:

Course conditions, straight from golfers who just played. Want to know how Rock Manor's holding up before you book? Ask. Somebody's been out there.

Find a partner. Got a tee time and an empty spot? Need a group to join? This is the one thing a newsletter can't do for you. Post it and fill it.

And community! New Castle County golf talk, all day, with the people who actually play here.

No dues. No dress code. No waiting list. Just the golfers who play the same courses you do.

I've had a few folks in there since the weekend and it's already picking up. Now it's your turn.

Come say hi in the general channel, tell us your home course, and drop where you're playing this weekend. That's all it takes.

Last Poll Result: 38% of you said you’ve had at least 1 Hole-In-One in your golf career so far. While 16% of you said you’re lucky to hit the green on a Par 3.

TEE THE SEASON, IT’S CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

First Tee - Delaware is throwing a family FUNdraiser on July 25th at Frog Hollow, and it's packed full of fun, prizes, and competition.

Every dollar goes to First Tee - Delaware, which uses golf to build confidence and life skills in the next generation of local golfers. Bring the family out, compete for fun prizes, and help support the next generation of golfers in Delaware.

The DE State Open is only 1 month away!

Last Week’s Trivia Results: Only 20% of you guessed right that the odds of an average golfer making a Hole-In-One is 12,500 to 1. And a whopping 40% guessed 33,000 to 1. Have more confidence in yourselves.

↗️ 🏗️ Garrisons Lake's clubhouse and fairways are coming along. The Golf Shop is set to move in first, with the restaurant and bar following once the building's ready. No firm dates yet, but the finish line's in sight. The crew will also check the Bermuda fairways at the end of the month after some winterkill, they've seen nice recovery, though a few spots may need sod.

↗️ 🎓 Garrisons Lake produces another scholarship winner. Kaitlyn Champlin of Delaware State University just won a J. Wood Platt Scholarship for 2026-27, the course's second winner in a row after Abby Osborne last year. The award supports kids who work at golf courses in the Philadelphia area. Two years running is no accident. Well done, Garrisons.

↗️ 🌳 Frog Hollow reshaped the 17th. The old greenside tree had been rotting, so they took it out and planted a younger one that'll grow in over time. It's a real change to how the hole plays. GAP comes out Wednesday to re-rate the course, which has held up great through the heat.

↗️ 🎤 A big week at Patriots Glen. Quizzo trivia Tuesday, July 21 at 6pm, Olivia Reynolds performs Friday July 24 at 7pm, and karaoke Saturday July 25 at 7pm.

↗️ 🖥️ Back Nine Wilmington's new bay is taking shape. Construction's underway on a members-only bay with new silver screen tech and a ball return, expected ready by mid-August.

↗️ ⛳ Chesapeake Bay introduces “The Loaf”. The club in Rising Sun, MD, home course of Evan Barbin, runner-up in the 75th Delaware Amateur, just added a feature on the 10th called "The Loaf."
