Hello!
Hello all, Rich Martin here. I play with the Newark Senior League as time permits, and my buddy and I spend a fair amount of time at St Annes but enjoy playing all around the area. Hope to meet some of you at the course!

Introducing the NCC Clubhouse!
My name is Tyler. Iβm the intern camera guy and media producer. Iβm a member at Back Creek. Welcome to the clubhouse!!
Over 25 tournaments, outings, and events have been added to the NCC Golf Events calendar.
You can access the calendar via the Events tab in this community, or by visiting https://luma.com/nccgolfevents
I will continue to update the calendar as new events pop up.
Please feel free to message me if you find an event I missed or isn't on this calendar.
Looking forward to getting the heads up on coarse conditions. Have booked t-times more than once to show up to aerated greens or construction.
Tomorrow is Ed Oliverβs 125th anniversary celebration from 3-6pm.
There will be games, prizes, food, drinks, and plenty of golf.
Anyone planning on making it out?
Iβll be there! Come find me and say hi ππΎ
I live down in Sussex County but play all over the Delmarva peninsula. I don't mind driving to play golf. I play, occasionally, Garrisons Lake, St. Anne's and Odessa National. Typically play the Rookery and Southern Delaware.
Playing Split Rock Golf Club in Lake Harmony, Pa this weekend.
Those who have played this course know, I'm a glutton for punishment.
Looking forward to seeing course conditions and maybe upcoming outings.
Unfortunately due to the forecast the event has been cancelled again.
β¬ Check out the Events tab on the left!
We will be updating this daily with new tournaments, outings, events, and other fun things to do in the area.
This is the one thing a newsletter can't do for you.
Got a tee time and an empty spot? Post it. Looking to get out and need a group? Post that too. This is how you stop playing alone or getting paired with randoms.
This is the most useful room in the Clubhouse, but only if people post.
Somebody's booking Delcastle or Frog Hollow tomorrow and wants to know how it played today. That somebody is going to be you at some point. So when you get off the course, take thirty seconds and drop what you saw.
What to post
Course and when you played. Then whatever you noticed:
Greens (rolling true? bumpy? recently punched?)
Fairways and rough
Pace of play
Cart path only, or riding?
Anything else worth knowing
Asking is fine too
Playing somewhere this weekend and want a read first? Just ask. Somebody's probably been out there.
One rule
Be honest but be fair. If a course is struggling, say so. But these are our courses and the people maintaining them are our neighbors. Report what you saw, don't torch anybody.
Post your last round. β³
You're in! This is the room behind the newsletter, a place for New Castle County public golfers to talk to each other, not just read what I write on Tuesdays.
Here's how it works:
THE CHANNELS β¬
#conditions β How's it playing out there? Post what you saw, ask what you're about to walk into. Greens, pace, cart path status, all of it. This is the heart of the place.
#find-a-partner β Got a tee time and need players? Need a group to join? Post it here. This is the one thing a newsletter can't do for you.
#tee-sheet-intel (paid)β What's open, what's booked, and where the best value is. Updated across every NCC course.
#deals (paid) β Spotted a twilight rate or a hot deal worth grabbing? Drop it so the rest of us can jump on it.
#general β Everything else. Questions, complaints, whatever's on your mind.
How to be a good member
1. Say hi in #general. Tell us where you play.
2. Post what you know. If you played Delcastle Saturday, somebody's booking it Sunday and wants to hear from you.
3. Be useful, be decent. This is a small county. You'll run into these people on the first tee.
4. No spam, no selling, no pitching your business. If you want to reach this audience, talk to me.
Start here
Head to #general and introduce yourself. Where do you play most? What's your home course? Then drop something in #conditions about wherever you played last.
That's it. Welcome in. β³
Played WCCCC yesterday, I'm in the Twilight Golf League, and it was cart-path only π« .
Despite the heat, and the terrible air quality it was a great round.
Course is in solid condition. My only strife would be lack of divot filling on tee boxes and fairways. More of an "us" problem, than them to be honest.

Welcome back! This is a big week for us. For the first time, NCC Golf Report is covering a live tournament with media credentials. I'm on the ground at Rehoboth Beach CC for the 75th Delaware Amateur! Plus we have course updates across the county, including a Frog Hollow mystery worth watching. Let's tee this thing off!
Welcome back! The next 90 days are the toughest stretch of the year to manage a golf course in NCC and mother nature isn't making it any easier. Also inside: a proper send-off for one of NCC's hardest working superintendents, First Tee Delaware's Christmas in July fundraiser, and a student golf rate that most people in NCC don't know exists. Let's get into it!
Welcome back! This week we locked down 2 exclusive offers for NCC Golf Report readers and launch the first ever county-wide golfer survey. Anonymous, five minutes, and your responses go directly to the owners and managers running your local courses. They're listening. This is your chance to be heard. Plus a full week of course updates across NCC. Let's get into it. Fore, please!!!
Welcome back! NCC Golf is heating up! St. Anne's is selling out. Night Golf is back at Delcastle. Rock Manor has something special coming for NCC Golf Report readers next week, and we're closing in on 1,000 members! We want your input on how to celebrate (poll at bottom of this email). But first, let's talk about White Clay Creek CC...
Welcome back! A warm welcome to the 70 new subscribers that joined this week. You picked an exciting week. This week we publish the biggest story we have ever put out. Weeks of conversations. Multiple sources. Both sides of the story. The kind of journalism that local golf in this county has never had before. Let's get into. Fore please!
Welcome back! What a wild weather week in Delaware, but what's new. This week we breakdown where to play before the rain hits, and every simulator option in NCC with full pricing. Plus a community spotlight worth reading, and the usual full course updates across NCC that no one covers like us. Fore please!
Where New Castle County golfers actually talk. This is the room behind the NCC Golf Report. A place for local public golfers to share course conditions, find a playing partner, argue about which course is playing best this week, and know what's happening before anyone else does. No dues. No dress code. No waiting list. Just the people who play the same courses you do. Come hang out.
