bbkm ISSUE #35

👋 Hey NCC golfers,
A couple weeks ago I told you we were going biweekly for the winter. I need to update that, and I’ll be straight with you about why.
NCC Golf Report is one person. Me. And over the past eight months, that one person live-streamed the Delaware Open, threw a mini golf tournament, broke multiple stories like the White Clay Creek sale and St. Anne’s story, and sent you a newsletter just about every single week, all while working a full-time job.
I loved every minute of it. But when I sat with the “biweekly” plan, I realized I was still trying to force a schedule through a season where there’s just not much golf news to report. And the honest move isn’t to half-ass it all winter, it’s to actually step back, recharge, and come back better.
So here’s the real plan: NCC Golf Report is taking a winter break, and we’ll be back in early March, right as the season fires back up.
A few things before I go:
This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you soon. Early March. New season, fresh energy, and some ideas I’m genuinely excited to build over the winter.
The social pages stay alive. If something big happens in NCC golf this winter, or I just see something worth sharing, it’ll be on Facebook and Instagram. That’s where to find me until the newsletter’s back.
Reply anytime. If your course has news, or you just want to say hey, my inbox is always open. I read every one.
Thank you for an unreal first season. A thousand-plus of you opened this thing every week, sent tips, forwarded it to your buddies, and showed up in person. That’s the whole reason any of this works.
Rest up this winter. Get a few cold-weather rounds in if you’re brave. And I’ll see you in the spring.
I will leave you with some upcoming events below. Thank you again.

What’s new at your home course this week.

↗️ 🇺🇸 Back Creek offers free golf for veterans on Veterans Day. A thank-you to those who served, free golf on November 11. A great gesture from Back Creek, pass it along to the veterans in your life.
🦃 Turkey Shootout season, take your pick. Three courses are running pre-Thanksgiving scrambles, each with a canned-food drive built in:
↗️ 🎅 Deerfield hosts its annual Brunch with Santa. A family holiday tradition with limited spots, contact the pro shop to RSVP. A nice one for the kids before the season fully closes.
↗️ ⛳ St. Anne’s closes the year strong with three events:
Birdies & Bubbly Women’s Clinic with Jon Manis, a fun, welcoming clinic for women golfers.
“Superintendent’s Revenge” tournament, the one where the superintendent sets the course up to punish you. Two-person scramble.
Winter Indoor Sim League, the perfect way to keep your game sharp through the cold. If you’re looking for winter golf, this is it. 10% off through December 15.

Hey NCC crew,
That’s it for this season, NCC.
Thanks for an incredible first year. See you in the spring. 🍂
